These words convey the spirit of our ancestors. They rode the Wind and managed to make their Wisdom reach us through arduous and difficult times, so that these Teachings could live forever!
Jamie Sams – Hancoka Olowampi (Midnight Song)
One Arrow
The road in front of me
It’s long and narrow.
I only have one arrow left,
And my old horse,
I climb into the saddle,
brave knight:
it’s time to climb
rugged mountains,
Seeking to reach
My own limits.
it’s time to swim
against the current
of the mighty rivers
That roar in my soul.
It’s time to face
sandy deserts,
In search of the Oasis
Of peace and calm.
But the road ahead of me
It’s still long and narrow.
I only have one arrow left,
And my old horse
Can barely stand.
But if necessary
back to combat,
I harness the horse,
I climb into the saddle,
brave knight:
It’s time to face
My Last Battle!
